It is difficult to told you that Nepal has an electricity problem because Nepal is 2nd richest country in water resource but it is true Nepal still facing the problem. Mr Bishnu Pokhrel from Gold Mountain Nepal Treks organized for me a very nice trek around the Sagarmatha National Park on September 2014.
I spent 17 days in the Khumbu region with a guide and full lodge accommodation. my itinerary was defined by me and the company provided an English Speaking local guide. We went from Lukla to Gokyo Ri, crossed the Cho La Pass in deep Winter conditions, continued the trekking up to Khumbu Glacier and Kala Pathar and finally discovered a precious glacier valley in the East of Sagarmatha, the Imja Kosi, until Chukkung and the Imja Tsé (Island Peak) base camp, where the organization set a campsite with tents and kitchen for the climbing of this 6000 m trekking peak.
All food and lodges perfectly matched my expectations.
Gold Mountain Nepal also provided me the needed technical gear for climbing the Island Peak, including an experienced climbing guide, plastic boots and high altitude sleeping bag.
Tim's card for trekking in the National Park, SPCC Climbing permit for Imja Tsé and the plane tickets from Katmandú to Lukla (round trip) were also issued by the company.
Gold Mountain Nepal Treks also picked me at the international Airport, booked from me hotel in the city and organized a sightseeing tour with personal guide around Kathmandu before my trek and a farewell dinner before my return.
I really appreciate the work done by Gold Mountain Nepal Treks and I recommend you to book your trek to them. They are responsible and efficient, and have very good prices too.
The guide Deepak was Very flexible and had a good feeling for people and their differing needs. His local knowledge was good and his language also excellent so I had no problem with his English.
The porter Krishna was extremely helpful. I had a great time with the company Gold Mountain Nepal Treks & Expedition. I am sure, I will came back again for another trekking named Everest Base Camp with the company.
