Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu [1,338m/4,389ft].
On your
arrival at Tribhuwan International Airport you will transfer to the hotel by
our airport representative. After your freshness we will have talk about
your trekking plan in the hotel or our office. You will meet your guide also.
You can ask your question about the trek. Overnight at hotel.
Day 02: Full day Sightseeing Tours around
Kathmandu Valley.
After your
breakfast we will start sightseeing tour with our excellent tour guide.
Including Pashupatinath Temple, Bouddhanath Stupa, Monkey Temple(Swyambhunath
Stupa), Kathmandu Durbar Squre, Patan Durbar Squre etc. In the tour you have to
chances to learn historical, cultural and traditional background of Nepal.
Overnight at hotel in Kathmandu.
Day 03: Drive/Flight to Pokhara [823m/2,700ft].
Today
morning we leave to Pokhara, which takes 6-7 hours by bus and half an hour (30
minutes) by flight. Today you will have a free time in Pokhara you can visit
yourself around Pokhara. Pokhara is gorgeous lake city which offers
panoramic views of Mt. Dhaulagiri, Mt. Machapuchre, Mt. Manaslu and Mt
Annapurna. Stay overnight in hotel of Pokhara.
Day 04: Fly from Pokhara to Jomsom
[2,713m/8,900ft] and trek to Kagbeni [2895m/9,498ft] 3-4 hours.
After
having breakfast transfer to the airport for a morning flight to Jomsom, a
fantastic picturesque flight of 20 minutes over the mountains such as
Dhaulagiri and Annapurna. Jomsom is the headquarters of Mustang district. This
is a huge town, headquarter of the Mustang Region, it is also a main village on
the Kaligandaki region. After excellent stop here an hour of easy walk it takes
us to Kagbeni, which deception at the bank of two rivers. Stay overnight at
lodge.
Day 05: Kagbeni to chele (3050m), 5-6 hours.
After
having breakfast we begin our trek with special permit checking. Entering
Mustang, we follow the east bank of the river. On the way, Buddhist monastery,
chorten with red, white and black colors, villages with white washed houses,
bounded by barley and buckwheat field is great. After 5-6 hours continue walk,
finally we reach in Chele, which is the destination for today. Stay overnight
at teahouse.
Day 06: Trek from Chele to Sengboche
[3,750m/12,303ft] 6-7 hours.
After
earlier breakfast, today our trip goes sequence of huge spurs. While going
throughout the Taklam-La pass, Yakawa Kang, Tilicho Peak, Damodar danda and
Nilgiri are gorgeous. After the pass, extra 3 hours hike will bring us at
Syanboche which is today’s destination for the overnight.
Day 07: Trek from Sengboche to Ghaymi
[3,520m/11,548ft] 5-6 hours.
After
taking our breakfast in the morning we continue trek ascending to Yamda La
passing a few tea-houses and local villages having Tibetan traditions and
culture. After hiking the Nyi Pass, we move down to Ghaymi village. After
arrival at Ghaymi we stay overnight in the village.
Day 08: Ghaymi to Charang [3,500m/11,482ft]
takes 4-5 hours.
After
having breakfast we start our trip crossing the Ghaymi Khola. We ascend to the
plateau and after that pass beside a very long Mani wall. Mani wall is a holy
stone wall made by the supporters of Buddhism. Finally we arrive at the village
of Charang and stay overnight.
Day 09: Charang to Lo-Mangthang
[4,300m/14,107ft] 5-6 hours.
After
taking breakfast our trip starts with easy ascend to edge of Lo. Then we go
little downhill to watercourse and again go up to arrive at main town of
Lo-Manthang. The old houses, white walls, Monasteries and Palaces are building
this city exciting and mysterious.
Day 10: Trip around Lo-Manthang and explore
Lo-Mangthang.
Today we
have whole day to explore this charming city. The monasteries, king palace and
panoramic view of Mountains are the main attraction for today. The local way of
life and their Tibetan society have made this city one of the magnificent
places in Nepal.
Day 11: Trek from Lo-Mangthang to Ghar Gompa [3942m/12933] 6-7 hours.
After
having breakfast, we start our walk as early as possible as the way is dusty
and stormy. It is easy walk today as the trace is almost downhill to Ghar
gompa, which is another gorgeous town of the region.
Day 12: Trek from Ghar Gumpa to Ghiling [3,700m/12,139ft], 5-6 hours.
After
having breakfast we start our trip.Today is also the effortless day for us. We
continue to go downhill the gorge to Ghiling for our overnight stay. It is
dusty and windy during day so we can walk around the village in the
evening.
Day 13: Trek from Ghiling to Chhuksang
[3,050m/10,006ft] 6 hours.
Today we
start our trek with slow climbing. The hike is beautiful as we have picturesque
Mountain View around. After 6 hours of enjoyable walking, we arrive in
Chhuksang and overnight there.
Day 14: Trek from Chhuksang to Jomsom
[2,713m/8,900ft] takes 6-7 hours.
Today is
going to be the final day of our trekking part. This day trip would be a long
one, it is better to walk as early as possible to arrive at Kagbeni. After
concluding the Upper Mustang trails, we now join the typical Annapurna Circuit
path. After having lunch on Kagbani we move to Jomsom. After arrive at Jomsom
we stay overnight at local guesthouse.
Day 15: Flight back to Pokhara [823m/2,700ft].
And stay overnight at Pokhara.
Today we
take early morning flight to Pokhara. And we expend remaining day sightseeing
the gorgeous city of Pokhara, which is the most excellent sightseer’s
destination in Nepal. We can visit the number of mysterious caves and temples.
We use our some time to get enjoy by boating in Fewa Lake and explore the gorge
of Seti River and Davis Falls. After explore Pokhara we stay at hotel.
Day 16: Flight/Drive back to Kathmandu and free
day in Kathmandu.
After
having breakfast we drove/flight back to Kathmandu. This takes 6-7 hours by bus
and half an hour (30 minutes) by flight. After arrival at Kathmandu you have a
leisure time in Kathmandu. On that time you can do some shopping or you can
take short tour around Kathmandu. At the evening Mountain Nepal Trek offers you
the Typical Nepalese Dinner with cultural shows in a famous neighboring food
restaurant.
Day 17: Transfer to International Airport for
your final departure.
Teams of Gold Mountain Nepal Treks say good-bye and takes you to the international airport to
catch your flight back to your home.
Information of passport and visas
You must to have a valid passport with at least 6 months validity from return date of your trips. You can easily get visas for Nepal from the Nepalese Consulate in your country or up on arrival in Kathmandu Airport (Tribhuwan International Airport). Nepalese visas cost is USD 25 for 15 days & USD 40 for 30 days.
Information of money & credit card
In Nepal you have to pay 3.5 % credit card commission as per Nepal’s Bank rules, on your payable amount of the total cost. So, please be positive that you bring some cash in USD to pay us. The same, for your extra expenses as well which are not included in our cost. We would like to request you not to change your money in the Airport expect your emergency case. You get the exchange rate is very low there. Our office well provides you the facility to exchange your money. Or, you can change from Money Changers or bank as well. Master Card, Visa Card, Paypal also accepted in major shopping center and in most of the tourist class hotels.
Bring required personal/official document
We want to suggest that to bring some of the required documents like valid passport, 4 extra passport sized photographs (for trekking permits), your travel insurance, airline tickets and luggage tags. Visas can be obtained upon arrival at Kathmandu. For details information about the required official papers don't be hesitate to ask us.
Case of flight delay
Flight by plane and helicopter are might be cancellations or delay cause of bad weather in remote areas. Some other times, operational complication may occur which is more possible to happen in Everest Region- Kathmandu – Lukla – Kathmandu flight, Annapurna region- Pokhara – Jomsom – Pokhara flight, Dolpa, Simikot , Jumla region etc. As these flights have some problem with fixed schedule, it is also suggested to carry extra money for food and accommodations. Trekking in the remote areas, especially during unusual season, you’re advised to keep extra days to prepare with some delays and avoid frustrating result. In case of delay in flight previous to trek departure or at the end of the trek, you need to manage your accommodation and food costs by yourself.
About your travel insurance
We request to all our valued clients to make and bring your complete travel insurance package. Your insurance must cover against medical, emergency evacuation, personal accident, trip cancellation, natural calamity, lost of gears, theft or damage your baggage etc.
Electricity Crisis Problem in Nepal
It is difficult to told you that Nepal has an electricity problem because Nepal is 2nd richest country in water resource but it is true Nepal still facing the problem. It means there is electricity off for some hours in day and night time. Most of the hotels in Kathmandu, Pokhara and other cities are possible to have no battery backup. In that case Air condition may not work and, sometimes, TV and other electric utensils may not run. Some hotels have possible to run the TV and AC as well. But, only few of them are lies in this standard category.
So, be organized for this while you are traveling in Nepal. For that situation, we suggested you to bring the flashlight with extra batteries.
Clothing and Equipment for Traveling in Mountains of Nepal
Trekking in the Mountains require to arrangement of equipment as you have to find yourself comfortable at higher altitude of Mountains. The basic clothing items are listed here please notice that.
Personal Equipment
- Down jacket or sweater.
- Wind/Water proof jacket (opt).
- Down vest and/or jacket (opt)
- Gloves (2 pairs).
- Sun hat or scarf.
- Sunglasses with UV protection.
- T-shirts minimum 2.
- Underwear (3).
- Hiking shorts (2).
- Lightweight cotton long pants.
- Light & Expedition weight thermal bottoms.
- Wool pants.
- Waterproof pants.
- Thin, lightweight internal socks (4).
- Thick, warm wool Trekking/Hiking socks (4).
- Hiking boots with extra laces.
- Camp shoes or sandals.
Other Necessary Equipment
- Sleeping bag at least rated to zero degrees F.
- Head light with extra bulbs and batteries.
- Basic First Aid Kit (Normal Medicine e.g. Sitamol, Diamox etc.)
- Large plastic bags to keep dry inside items of trek bag.
- Trekking Bag (approximately 2500 to 3000 cubic inches is OK).
- Water bottles (2).
- Toilet paper.
- Small washable towel.

Can I buy/rent equipment in Kathmandu
Yes, you can do that but it is not actually required to spend large amount of your money to buy extra equipment and clothing earlier to your trip because most of the trekking equipment can be hired from Trekking shops within Kathmandu. Most of the gear is locally contrived. Some Chinese equipment are possible to be more expensive but qualitative. You can take Sleeping bag and down jacket easily on rent. Each item can be rented for less than USD 1 per day. You have to manage other items buying them yourself. Surely these items are more possible to be cheaper than those in your Country or hometown. We will display all the necessary equipment you need on the second day of your arrival.

First choose the trip which you want to do? Then contact us through mail or phone, email is more effective and clear as well, after getting your email or call we will process for your booking. To confirm your booking, we need 20% amount of your total amount the payment can be made throughout the Bank transfer, Credit card payment (Master/Visa Card) or through online money transfers also Western Unions, Money Gram or others. After we get the 20% amount your booking will be confirmed and you will get the official booking and payment receipt from us. The rest amount you can pay after arrival at our office or hotel.
